Hello Darren,

Thanks for showing interest in Mysql Connector/ODBC. And it seems its myodbc issue and not an OS from bug#69550.

This is a known issue, please check below link for details:
http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=69550

As a workaround for now you can use Connector/ODBC 5.1 latest release, as issue seems to be affecting only 5.2 .
