Hello Hansjoerg,

Thanks for showing interest in Mysql Connector/ODBC.

It will be hard to say exact reason based on details you have provided.
But you can use `AUTO_RECONNECT` connection option so it gets reconnected automatically.
Also refer below post and set connection timeout if required.
