Connector/Net 5.0.0 VS2K5 Design Time Support

Just downloaded the alpha release of .net Connector 5 and I was disappointed to find that it did not register as a .Net datasource to be added via Server Explorer. I would really like to use SqlDataSource and Strongly Typed Datasets with the native .net connector. Am I missing something or is this functionality comming???
Anyone have a hack to get this working with the Alpha version of the new connector?
