so i've created the stored procedures ... and it sure speeds up the process, its writing between 150 - 200 records in 5 sec ... its takes roughly 4 - 5 hours to write the 400 000 records ...
strangely it uses only about 0.05% of network usage ... so as a matter of interest ... @ 150 records in 5 sec ... is that fast in your opinion? ... any other ideas of speeding it up more ... i do keep the connection open ... i have no indexes ...
running it on the server is not the ideal situation ... i will put it as a suggestion to the user but ideally we wanna stick with client/server ... the servers are already overworked ... LOL
