Hello,
in the express versions, there is no DDEX for the connector. If you want to use the DDEX (Data Designer Extensibility), you have to use at least the Standard Edition.
But you can manage the connection in the code. There are several tutorials out there. Just do a search (by the way, the problem with DDEX and VS Express is discussed over and over again in this forum ...)
