Hi Charles,

Thanks for your feedback. I have some questions about your scenario, perhaps this could lead us to see if there is a bug in Connector or if there is anything we can tune/improve in your case.

-What version of MySQL server are you using?
-How many rows are you grabbing with your query? (17M == 17 Millions?)
-What version of Connector/Net?
-Are you using prepared statements?

In the mean time I'll try to reproduce the same case and see how it behaves.
