Please, can you share the log generated when you try to install connector?
You can generate the log running the following command with command prompt:
msiexec /i "msiname" /lvx* "pathlog"

To use the command remove the quotes (") and type valid values for MSI name and the path where the log will be saved including file name and file extensión, something like:
msiexec /i C:\Users\MyUser\Desktop\mysql-connector-net-6.8.3.msi /lvx* C:\Users\MyUser\Desktop\ConnectorNet.log

Also, if you can provide more details about the products that you had installed before try to install Connector/Net 6.8.3 will be very useful, as well as info about your SO.
