I found the problem, I think there's a lack of documentation about my_aspnet_schemaversion, mine was 8 and the new connector uses version 10, even when "membership" and "role" tables are exactly the same, there are new tables for sitemap and personalisation, so the right thing to do is backup my older schemas and regenerate (with autogenerateschema="true") the schema and then restore my data to the new tables. For now I just changed the schema version on my_aspnet_schemaversion table to 10 and now everything works.
