Any resolution for MySqlDbType.Datetime?

Has there been a resolution to the date/time issue. Applications have been inoperable since upgrading to MySQLconnector.net 1.0.2-gamma and MySQL server version 4.1.7 Datatable fills & updates that include dates produce system.invalidcastexception
