Hello again Andrew,

I talked to some members of the community team, and it looks like there is a problem and they're working on it.

I did get your email, thank you. I am sort of waiting for the CLA# before looking at the attachments .... (Well, that and in truth I'm feeling rather busy; I know: excuses, excuses.)

Unfortunately, I have not yet make time to get a multi-instance JBoss test going, similar to what you've described. However, I *really* appreciate your willingness to dive in. If you're willing to take a look at the current trunk at http://svn.mysql.com/svnpublic/connector-mxj/ then perhaps you'd also be willing to report whether or not it is easy to get things working in your environment with the latest code.

One thing I'd like to clarify: You mentioned the pid-file. Other than needing each instance of mysqld to have a unique pidfile, is there any need, in your environment to be able to control the name and location of the pid-file? I ask because in order for Connector/MXJ from different JVMs to be able to identify whether a myqld is running currently is tied to the pid-file have a known name in the datadir.

Cheers,
-Eric
