Usage of Connector/J in commercial Java Project
Date: November 18, 2008 06:01AM
Hi!
We are in need to use Connector/J in an commercial Java Project since the Connector is GPL licensed i'm concerned that this isn't compatible with our proprietary-commercial License?
What if we are distributing our product bundled with Connector/J, i think this would break with the GPL requirements? (Connector/J would be provided as a JAR file with the our Application)
An alternative would be to distribute our product without Connector/J and require the Customers to download the Connector themselve, would that be ok?
Thanks in advance for your advises!
best regards,
christian
