Actually we are using pentaho kettle(ETL) to insert data from mysql to postgresql and if network is unavailable its hanging for more than one hour while connecting to mysql.

So we used ConnectTimeout(15000 as 15 sec) and socketTimeout(15000 as 15 sec) options to solve the hanging issue.

Its working But instead of 15sec its timing out at 1 min 25 sec(varies).

We are not getting proper unit meaure for 15000 (is it miliseconds or ?)
