Hi there,

I had the same problems, and I couldn't install it. I'm not a Linux expert nor am I a newbie. The only way around this that I found was to let go of the DBD::mysql (although I managed to install it later, don't ask me how) but actually after installing the DBI, I installed the Net::MySQL through CPAN and it's working fine. I can query all I want (main purpose for me for using Perl and MySQL)
