Is it possible to change the MYSQL_SOCKET setting?

Hi all,

Looking at my phpinfo() output under the mysql heading:

...
Client API version 4.1.13a
MYSQL_MODULE_TYPE external
MYSQL_SOCKET /var/mysql/mysql.sock
MYSQL_INCLUDE
...

Is there any way for me to change the MYSQL_SOCKET setting?
