The DALP library isn't easy to use. I think people want a managed code library, something the can just plop onto their forms and set a few options through the designer. Besides, DALP doesn't seem to be supported anymore.
Conclusion: DALP is not the way to go.

I've seen a few posts regarding something that is 'in the works' but developers are not committing to any timeline. I've looked at the code for the .net connector in hopes of porting it to the compact framework, but there are a number of issues, i.e. the compact framework does not contain all the same classes as the .net framework. Also, it uses an external component which has no CF equivalent.
Therefore, seeing as it's a daunting task, I've sorta put that project on the back burner.

I would be willing to help with the current project tho...
