Required :- Custom code using substring in report !!!!

I am having a sql report which has a table in which the following content is displayed .

<Cell ss:StyleID="s21"><Data ss:Type="String">Data A1</Data></Cell>

This is actually the content of the the feild i am having .

Actually we are reading data from an xml document and displaying it in our table cell . but we actually want to display the actual data "Data A1" and not the whole line above.

Can anyone tell me the custom code for this using substring function to extract the data out of this line and display it .

i want to use a substring and display only Data A1 which is the actual data . kindly help me.
