I am using MySQL Migration Toolkit 1.1 to migrate from MS-SQL server to MySQL. Currently the schema tables and fields transfer OK and many of the tables data transfer OK also, but there are some tables where much data didn't make it over. Either no records in 1 table, or only a few hundred made in another when there were 4000 in the source.

My guess is that there might be 'disallowed troublesome characters' in the various source fields like : single and or double quotes or returns or tabs or something like that ...

Q: Could these 'troublesome characters' be part of the problem? Could this be something else? How can I get the data transferred over easily?
