My Server 2003 x64 installs of MySQL 5.5.9 and then 5.5.0 both failed with the same error 104 no matter what I did. The only way the config app would run ok was when I unselected all security changes, and that's unacceptable.
Funny enough, installs worked just fine on my WinXP x86 box.
It tells me that Oracle hasn't learned 64-bit programming yet since 2003 and XP have the same cores, lmao.
PS An install of MySQL 5.1 worked perfectly.
