It is returned allright!

It's just that it is returned to the client program, not to the calling procedure (I think it would be much more useful if it did.)

BTW, why do you have dynamic SQL '..all over the place...'? Just curious

If you have the chance, you should rewrite it to static sql as much as you can (performs better)
