Re: how to migrate oracle stored procedures to mysql

Fatma - does the documentation say the toolkit will convert stored procedures? I only see where it says it will convert schemas and data.

PL/SQL syntax is non-standard and very particular to Oracle (which Oracle is proud of), so it does not transfer easily to other databases. Tom of "Ask Tom" discusses this in his Oracle books, where he talks about portability and lacks of portability.

I may be wrong, but I think the procedures will have to be gone through and re-written as MySQL stored procedures or other code. I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
