Automated and replicate AS/400 DB2 data to MySQL

I have a similar request as many others have.

I have an AS/400 running a wholesale distribution package. I am interested in getting data from the AS/400 DB2 via some automated method. JDBC, ODBC or some other means.

1) MySQL is on a linux box for which I can get JDBC or ODBC installed.
2) The AS/400 is on same network subnet.
3) I would like an Opensource solution or even code based solution (Sample of what someone else is doing)
4) I would like to be able to schedule this.
5) This is a partial data set. Tables and columns not the whole DB. (Item Master, Purchase orders, stuff like that)

Any Zen master with an implementation even if with a different application in your environment would fine.
