Import data from an excel spreadsheet into an mysql database

Hello

This question is not about access but about excel.

I want to import data from an excel spreadsheet into an mysql database and I also have an access database as well to work with the same information.

I am trying to import an excel .csv file into mysql using phpmyadmin.

I get an error saying...

"Invalid field count in CSV input on line 1."

I have tried to make everything as similar as possible and the fields are the same.

I do have a primary ID key which is blank on the excel file, could that be messing things up?

Thank you for any help.
