MS Access To Remote MySQL database Data Transfer

Hi,
i m a beginner with mySql. i want to transfer data from ms access to a remote mysql server without using sqldump. i hav tried mySql odbc 5.1, but i can only edit the existing data on remote server using this ODBC. i can't insert new rows in the table using it.
can any body guide me please about this problem or any other alternative method...
