Mysql Replikation zeitverzögert

Hallo zusammen,
ich habe ein Frage zur Mysql Replikation.
Es existiert 1 Master und ca. 16 Slave Datenbanken, die Replikation der Daten funktioniert generell ohne Probleme und sehr schnell. Nur leider bleibt die Replikation abundan einfach stehen, SLAVE_IO_% und SLAVE_SQL_RUNING sind beide weiterhin auf Yes und Slave_IO_Status steht auch auf "Waiting for master to send event".
Leider läuft die read_master_log_pos nicht weiter.
Eine Lösung ist ein restart der slave replikaton, an zuviel Last kann es eigentlich nicht liegen, da wir noch am Entwicklungssystem hängen. Nach einem Restart des Slave sind die Daten auch gleich da.
Hat jemand einen Tip?
