query cache

Hallo,
ich würde gerne mit dem query cache arbeiten. Folgende Einstellungen sind gemacht:
query_cache_limit=4194304
query_cache_min_res_unit=4096
query_cache_size=134217728
query_cache_type=ON
query_cache_wlock_invalidate=OFF
Leider wird keine query gespeichert.
MySql 5.4 Windows
Ich hatte kurz eine MySql 5.0 parallel laufen, diese aber deinstalliert. Kanns daran irgendwie liegen?
