mysql SELECT mit WHERE und LIKE

Ich habe folgende Select Anweisung: Wenn ich nach name suche ist o.k. wenn ich nach id suche kommen alle id´s:

SELECT * FROM buchung WHERE b_id = '$b_id' OR b_name LIKE '%$name%'

hat jemand einen Tipp für mich wo der Fehler ist.
