Muy resumido podrías hacer algo como esto:



SELECT A.1, A.2, B.1, B.2 FROM A

INNNER JOIN (SELECT 1, 2 FROM X ORDER BY 3 DESC LIMIT 1) AS B ON B.1=A.1 AND B.2=A.2

Eso es lo que esta necesitando.
