Our Client is a leading online marketing and Internet advertising firm, specializing in delivering customers...intelligently, to its clients using online advertising and marketing techniques. Their clients include such leading firms as T-Mobile, Sears, BMG/Bertelsmann, Pfizer, University of Phoenix, and Columbia House.

Based in beautiful Boca Raton, Florida our client is fast-growing and has been profitable since inception four years ago! Revenue for 2004 was in the eight figures. Revenue growth from 2003 to 2004 exceeded 100% and staffing levels more than quadrupled. The Company is debt free and continues to generate attractive profit margins. Continued strong growth is anticipated in 2005 both organically and through acquisitions.

SUMMARY:

This full time immediately available position represents a newly-created, mission-critical function that will offer the opportunity to make an impact as the Company continues on its rapid-growth tract.

The DBA must display a rigorous work ethic and thrive in a dynamic environment. This person will play a key role in ensuring the database environment is designed and managed to meet business and IT demands for availability, performance and manageability. The DBA will be involved in application development projects to evolve our database architecture and design. The DBA will monitor database operations, analyze and respond to performance and other maintenance issues. The DBA will have a technical hands on & Project Administration role, including inventorying & documenting forms, reports, notice etc. Participate in the creation of development, staging & production database instances, and the migration of those instances from one environment to another. Responsible for all the performance tuning of the staging and production database instances. Assists with complex query development. Individual must demonstrate exceptional SQL programming skills to perform data troubleshooting and data manipulation tasks. Must have the ability to troubleshoot problems in person, over the phone, or via email. Solid understanding and experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation. Data profiling, meta data analysis, Data Modeling, and relational schema design.


QUALIFICATIONS:

* 4+ years Experience in MYSQL.
* Advanced Knowledge of database design and SQL
* Administering of InnoDB and MyISAM table types
* Experience with MYSQL replication
* Experience with multi-master clustering (HA) a plus
* Experience with MYSQL performance tuning and optimization. (query optimization, index tuning, caching and buffer tuning)
* Experience with backup and recovery process
* Knowledge/experience creating automated reports using perl a plus
* Candidate must have hands on experience in Linux and UNIX
* Strong communication skills are necessary for interaction with other teams and departments
* BS in Computer Science or related field

Applicant must meet ALL of these requirements.

Client is looking for a highly talented MYSQL Database Administrator to join our system administration team. The DBA is responsible for the database design and implementation.

Other responsibilities include:

* Position is for a production DBA, NOT A DEVELOPER.
* Install, configure, manage and maintain multiple 100’s of gig MYSQL databases.
* Managing Memory, CPU and I/O performance as well as assuring database health.
* Perform appropriate back-up, restoration and upgrades of our servers
