MySQL, PHP programmer needed immediately

Critterpix Studios is currently looking for a Lead Production Database Programmer to join our team as we gear up for our first feature length film, Ollie.

Become a member of our new studio based in beautiful Northern California, just 20 minutes away from San Francisco! We offer a relaxed and positive atmosphere with a huge twist of artistic flair.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The project would involve working with our Database Supervisor in the creation and implementation of our tracking database.
• Set the foundation of best practices for the database development programming team.
• Perform management duties (personnel reviews, interviews of new candidates, time management, etc.) in concert with the Database Development Supervisor.
• Routine maintenance of code, bug fixes, etc.
• Lay out workloads in a well planned and organized manner.
 
 QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years experience with MySQL / PHP development, preferably on the Mac OS X platform.
• Expertise with MySQL database design and implementation is required.
• Strong coding skills in PHP, PERL and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Expertise in the LAMP Stack is highly desirable.
• Extremely organized, articulate, detail-oriented and comfortable working within a team structure.
• Ability to comprehend, analyze and communicate the 'big picture' to others required.
• Excellent ‘people’ skills and a positive attitude a must.
• Prior experience in a visual effects or feature length CG film environment is a big plus.
