Merging two different softwares to use one database

Hi - I am interested in merging two different softwares into one. Namely,
A social networking software (DZOIC)
(http://dzoic.com/)
CalendarTechnique
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/calendartechniq/)
I would love to fuse these together such that user-database acts as one. A user would log into the social networking and then be able to use the CalendarTechnique. Is this possible? could someone point me into right direction on how to do this?
