It would be nice though if comments were retained. Not everyone uses VC. Also, I consider it a major advantage that the actual code -including comments and all- is stored were it belongs, i.e. in the database.
In fact, I rely much on this in oracle programming.

Is there some paragraph in the docs that describes this mysql behaviour?
