After initial debacles with mysql, I always keep backup of my data files.

I know its not a production build, but what is the point of running a BETA when the team is not even doing simple regression testing.

I would have appreciated that MySQL team should have given some explanation on what excalty is issue with the new build and upgrade, instead of picking one line from my comment and trying to give me advice on how should I write my SP.

I will again say it.. Quality of your builds is going down with every single release. Now I have started encountering system crashes. Or do you have advice on that too how one should run their server, even though it is being used for beta testing :-)

I guess its time to write some blog enteries to warn people about new build of MySQL...
