Thanks for the reply and the information.

Having removed the DEFINER clause, the two DELIMITER clauses caused a problem.

Having removed the DELIMTER clauses, the import of the function worked.

With this in mind, is there a facility to export from MySQL using mysqldump omitting these two elements so that I can import/export between the two different version of MySQL.

Or is there a better solution anybody would know of?
