Stored Procedures retrieving multiple result sets

Hi,
I am new to MySQL.
I would like to retrieve multiple result sets from my Stored Procedure. I am not sure whether there are multi dimensional arrays or collections or table variable exists under mysql.

Can somebody please help me here to understand how this can be achieved through mysql ? Also please share some url's where I can go and search some useful content about mysql only and not php will be combined with it.
