Any plans to fix trigger bug relating to cascading foreign keys?

LS,

A serious bug/issue now has been known and documented for 7 years, and the MySQL manual even carries a warning related to this bug, but is there a plan/schedule for fixing this?

Cascading foreign keys currently do NOT cause triggers to fire in the related tables, making it basically impossible to maintain integrity that way or to rely on triggers for that purpose.

Original 2005 bug report (still unfixed): http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=11472

At the moment this ACID thing is possibly the biggest issue driving people towards PostgreSQL (apart from the GIS functionality).

I like using MySQL, but if there's no plan for a fix we have a problem.

Any comments from MySQL itself?
