When someone tells you that something can't be done, what do you do? Do you accept their statement and go back to bed, or do you set out to prove them wrong?

In 2008, when the insurance industry told us that providing real time data validation and enrichment at the point of quote couldn't be done, they threw down a gauntlet. "There are too many quotes, too much data, it's all too fast - you just can't do it".

IIL Picked up that gauntlet, and here we are, 7 years later doing the impossible every day. We process over 90 million data enrichment requests per day, with an average response time of 0.15 seconds. At peak times we handle over 3000 requests per second. IIL have achieved the seemingly impossible with a combination of brilliant people, clever ideas, hard work, tenacity and an awful lot of coffee.

But now comes the difficult bit...

IIL is a victim of it's own success. We have created a whole new layer in UK insurance - real-time data validation and enrichment didn't exist in before us. Now 85% of the insurance industry in the is dependant upon IIL in order to write new business - they simply can't compete without us.

But now is not the time to rest on laurels. The companies who told us it couldn't be done are stirring. They are developing their own rival products to compete with us. Ihre Aufgaben:
- Zu Ihren Hauptaufgaben gehören Planung, Installation, Konfiguration, Support und Administration (Monitoring, Analyse, Performance Tuning, Troubleshooting, Wartung, Reports, Backup, Recovery) von Kunden-Datenbanken auf Basis von Oracle und MS SQL
- Sie erstellen PL/SQL- und T-SQL-Skripte im Umfeld unserer ERP-Anwendung
- Sie unterstützen Projekte im Datenbank-Bereich und führen Migrationsprojekte durch
- Sie nehmen an der Rufbereitschaft (24/7) teil
- Nach einer bestimmten Einarbeitungszeit bzw. Schulungszeit sollen Sie Aufgaben im Bereich SharePoint Administration übernehmen

Ihr Profil:
- Eine erfolgreich abgeschlossene Ausbildung im IT-Bereich oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation
- Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung im IT-Bereich
- Idealerweise Erfahrungen in RDMS Systemen sowie Migrationsprojekten
- Umfassende Kenntnisse im Bereich Datenbankadministration (MS SQL und Oracle)
- Kenntnisse im Bereich Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012, Active Directory, Network
- Kenntnisse über Stored Procedure, Views, Trigger und RMA
- Erfahrungen mit Hochverfügbarkeitssystemen (RAC, Mirroring, Always-On)
- Grundlagenkenntnisse im Bereich SharePoint Administration sind wünschenswert
- Analytisches Geschick und schnelle Lösungsfindung bei zeitkritischen Problemen
