Hello everybody.
Urgent question:
is it possible to install a MySQL-Database on a external drive (Mac OS X - Firewire hard disk)? And - if possible - how to activate it via terminal window (UNIX-Command)?
The MySQL Installer Package refuses to install on external drives (on system-drive only). I need to have the MySQL-DB as "stand-alone", regardless of which Mac the external hard disk is connected with.
