this may not help you so much, but u may consider downloading the .bin and compile yourself.
Yeah, it suppose to work right out of the box, but sometimes, somehow it just don't, Fedora C2 has the same problem.
ahhh. one last warning; DON'T use the precompiled binaries, thay have even more problems.
