mysqldump error

I'm a noob and searching for this has gotten me nowhere.

MySQL 5.0.20
Talking via PuTTy

I am attempting to perform a dump of a database... here is my putty output:

[root@server ~]# mysqldump databasename -p>090506.sql
Enter password:
mysqldump: mysqldump: Couldn't execute 'show fields from `tAddress`': Got error 28 from storage engine (1030)
[root@server ~]#

I've used this exact command in the past and got wonderful dumps. This is the first I've seen this.

What is Error 28??

Give a man a fish, you will feed him for a day.
Give a man the 'net, and you'll never have to feed him again.
