differences between MySQL and MS SQL

I have developed a site for a client using ASP and SQL server and found them a hosting company but they decided it was too expensive and have now gone and set up web space with MySQL on which they want me to use. I have never used MySQL before, I have looked through some of the documentation on this site but can't see any major differences but I just want to know if it will result in a lot of re-coding and also how I go about setting up the database on the hosts machine.
