Hi Ann Marie,
I have used SQL and ASP before as well.. and just changed platforms to PHP and MySQL.. and I found that SQL is very similar to MySQL.. so there wont be a lot of re-coding involved.. rather MySQL is a lot easier than SQL.. and much rather same in a lot of things..
this is a pretty good site .. for documentation.. and all the syntax for MySQL is also there.. so you should not face much problems.. MySQL also has a Console Manager like SQL.. that lets you maintain tables, DB's, and users..
If you still haven't figured anything out.. then post what you are having problems with specifically... and I am sure you will get a response back.. :)
