This is what I get after I run [ps aux| grep mysql}
mysql 561 0.0 0.3 63048 3524 p1- S 19May08 3:29.56 /usr/local
terrence 12777 0.0 0.0 27376 420 p1 S+ 8:42AM 0:00.01 grep mysql
//when I run [kill(pid)] I get:
-bash: syntax error near unexpected token `pid'
//I have uninstalled and reinstalled MySQL and followed every instructional step I can find. I still cannot begin to learn MySQL because I cannot even get past setting a root password! Surely, it must be something simple. Is there no info source for Mac developers??
