Configuration of MySQL GUI Tools 5.1.17r for MySQL Server 5.7.20 doesn't work

Hi,

I tried to work with the GUI Tools to configure my databases user list with a new user.

But everytime I add a new user on the right side giving user name and password there is an error message:

Maybe the user account is deleted....

The special problem is that I have no access at the database user list, cause when I want to change the containing users in the list, for instance the existing users databaseadminuser and databaseuser made while the server installation, I can't see there attributes on the right side.
I choose the user on the down left side, but its written on the right:

No user is choosen.

I tried the installation of the gui tools in both versions with and without installation.
In the installation form I can't change the installation path, but the installationpath won't be taken from the choosen path.

Do you have an Idea, what's the problem?
