Thank you Marc . . . I am very, very new to programming and do not know how to move the bin into my path.

I downloaded the .tar version as well, and it has about 10 different folders in it. Do I simply move this directory (all 10 folders) to mysql bin within my applications folder?

Or do I need to re-install the package (.tar or the .dmg) and set the path (somehow) then?

Thank you again, I appreciate the guidance.
