Error Nr. 1045 Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (Using password: YES)

Hey. This is for the newbs out there. I was trying to connect to my freshly installed mysql server as root on my freshly installed Centos 5.2 , and kept getiing this error. I read countless threads about how to 'fix' this error - but made my own discovery. I tried logging in as root with no password, and "voila!" I was in. Hope this helps somebody!
