Well, they need a lesson in the real world.

I would expect something like this to work:
INSERT INTO tbl (..., Author_Social_Security, ...)
   VALUES (..., 123456789, ...);

But in the case of MySQL, I would declare it INT UNSIGNED.

What error are you getting?
