Hi. If we're talking about books, the one entitled "PHP 6 and MySql 5 for Dynamic web sites" by Larry Ullman (Peachpit Press) always seems to get good reviews. I've not read it myself though. Practical PHP and Mysql by Jono Bacon can be a good second book (although there are typos in the code).
As for web tutorials, I can only recommend you use google. For instance there's a lot of beginners stuff (on various topics) here:
