#1034 - Incorrect key file for table

Ok, I was using a forum software and backed up the database on my hard drive. It gave me a bunch of .myd .frm and .myi.
I install xampp and my vista machine and want to convert all these files into a basic .sql file to upload to a new host.
So I put everything in a database I create in phpmyadmin from xampp.
But now when I go to do anything on a table, it keeps giving me the error #1034 - Incorrect key file for table XXX (xxx being the table name).
I try to repair it to no avail. It says the same thing.
Can anyone help me with this?
