hi arun
what really u can do is set the permission on that file, on the account from which u are working.. or u can start the mysql server as

mysqld --defaults-file="the path of the configuration file i.e basically the my.cnf in the bin folder of your mysql installation directory" and also set the file permission on that folder or file.
Then check it running mysql

I think it will work
