Milli and Micro seconds in mysql

Hi,

Is there any "Date" data type that can show date time including milliseconds and micro seconds in mysql? I have an issue where I do mass inserts/updates and the time in seconds is not enough to differentiate each insert/update. Is there a data type i can use which will let me insert milliseconds and consider it as time while inserting/updating? I searched a lot but in vain. Any help is appreciated.
